Sustainability Report 2025

Sortera's Sustainability Report for 2025 is now available

Throughout 2025, we have continued to develop our business with a focus on circular solutions and reducing climate impact.

We have broadened our offering in recycling, reuse, remediation, mass management, and water treatment in Sweden, Finland, and the United Kingdom – with solutions that truly make a difference in practice.

A key milestone this year is that our climate targets have been validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). This means they are aligned with the Paris Agreement. At the same time, we are already seeing results in the form of reduced emissions – both from our own operations and throughout our value chain.

Our commitment to circular material flows continues to have an impact. Over the year, we have reused and sold CE-marked products amounting to over 18,000 tonnes – important alternatives to virgin raw materials within the construction and civil engineering sectors. In the UK, regulatory changes are also contributing to less waste being sent to landfill.

We have also invested for the future. The acquisition of Siisti Piha in Finland and the integration of Reston Waste Management in London have strengthened our position in several markets. At the same time, we have made our largest investment to date – the modernisation of the sorting facility in Edmonton, increasing capacity and improving opportunities for material recycling.

Our employees are crucial to the transition. Over the year, we have continued to develop our work environment initiatives through safety campaigns, training, and strengthened governance. Among other things, we have launched a training programme in our Code of Conduct for all employees.

We also see strong trust from our customers. Our NPS increased to 53 – the highest result to date – driven by improved service, digital solutions, and enhanced advisory services.

These are some of the steps we have taken during the year – and we are continuing to move forward.
