Supporting Community Spirit

At Sortera, we believe in giving back to the communities where we live and work. That’s why we were delighted to support Living Under One Sun (LUOS), a remarkable local charity and community hub in Tottenham, by donating a skip to help them clear waste from their allotment.

Nestled in Down Lane Park and just a short walk from the Gessner, LUOS serves as a lifeline for Tottenham residents. From English language workshops and financial literacy classes to yoga sessions, wheelchair basketball, and vibrant community events, the team are tireless in their efforts to meet the needs of the neighbourhood.

When LUOS needed a 12-yard skip to clear waste from their allotment near the River Lea, we were eager to help. We've had the privilege of seeing the incredible work of Leyla Laksari and her team at the charity, and we're proud to play a small part in supporting their mission to strengthen the local community.

It was through our recent collaboration on the Neighbourhood Green Festival alongside Formation Design and Build, we got to know Leyla and her team even better. Their unwavering commitment to fostering community spirit is something we deeply admire and are proud to support.
